How do I send an inquiry or quotation request to CBI?
When sending us an email, please include the following:
-Rides/devices in the facility
-Photos of the rides/devices
-Services you require (first aid training, category training, examination)
-No. of staff and for which category they will be applying for
To issue a quotation, we need the following:
-Full name of the contact person and the designation
-Full name of the company as per license and the address
-Vat certificate (if applicable)

What are the services you offer?
We provide services such as first aid training, category training (Cat2 and Cat4), examination and certification (Cat2 and Cat4). Currently, our scope of certification in fairground and amusement equipment is for Category 2 (Supervisor, Operator, Attendant) and Category 4 (Skill Games Attendant, Arcade Games Attendant, Soft Play Area Attendant) only.
Is CBI an accredited certification body?
Yes! You can click on "OTHERS > DOWNLOADS" to view our accreditation certificate on this website.
I want to request for a quotation but I don't know which category I fall into. What should I do?
When sending us an inquiry, please include the photos of your facility and the attraction so we can assist you.
Where can I see the prices for your services?
Click on "SERVICES" tab of this website and scrolldown to see the full list of prices. For more information about the pricing, you can refer to EIAC-RQ-CB-009.
WHERE CAN I SEE THE QUOTATION FOR MY REQUESTED SERVICES?
Once a quotation has been generated as confirmed with one of our staff via email, a client portal will be enabled for you and you will receive an invitation to set your own password to view the quotation and approve it in future. Invoices will be also available in the portal upon approval of the quote.
What are the payment terms and accepted modes of payment?
Payment can be made stage-wise (per invoice item). Services are rendered after clearance of payment. As of now, we do not accept cash nor do cheque collections, and we are requiring all of our clients to do bank deposits to our account and send us the proof of transaction via email; bank details are stated on the issued quotation and invoices, and is also available upon request via email. All receipts, quotations, and invoices are only issued via the online platform and email as we also restrict paper-based transactions.
I cannot call/reach the mobile number specified in the quotation and invoice. Why is this?

Can you give a discount?
The prices in the quotation is in accordance to what is stated in EIAC-RQ-CB-009. I hope you understand that we can not simply make the adjustments as this is the fixed prices which is mandated by EIAC.
I want to finish the certification by this () date.
We also want you to finish the certification by your target date and we will assist as much as we can, however, regarding the schedule, there is a process that we need to follow, starting from the registration and application review of the personnel, to determine who can proceed to the examination. By this, we cannot commit to the said date as this depends entirely on your readiness and the requirements that you need to submit to us, which needs to be completed and accepted.
How CAN AN APPLICANT register for the certification process?
We can start by scheduling the registration once the required documents (the list is sent through email) are ready on your end and payment for the application is cleared.
A link specifically for the registration process will be sent via email where the applicants can upload and fill out their documents. The applicants need to fill in the information, upload the documents, and sign the application form on their own.
To avoid hassle during the registration process, please ensure all documents to be uploaded is valid, clear, glare-free, and a fully scanned copy (edge-to-edge of the document, no crops allowed), and is within the file size allowed by the online system. Maximum file size to be uploaded for personal photo is 0.5MB only and for each document is 1MB only in jpg or jpeg format or as stated in the online form.
After receiving the review, can we replace a personnel who failed to provide one of the requirements
Once the applicant has finished the registration and a review has been sent, it is not possible for the applicant to be replaced by a different person whether he or she was able to complete the requirements or not. The purpose of the registration and application review is to determine whether the applicant will be able to proceed for the next process. A rejected application is deemed as closed. If there is a new applicant, this will be an independent application, hence, a different invoice will be issued for this applicant.
Is it mandatory to submit the first aid certificate?
Yes. The issued certificate must be from a DCAS accredited center.
Is it mandatory to get a first aid training from CBI?
No. There is a lot of first aid training providers across Dubai. You can choose the one which suits your needs.
I need to submit a training record as part of the requirements. Is it mandatory to get THE TRAINING
No. CBI does not require candidates to complete CBI's own education or training as an exclusive prerequisite to its examination and certification process. Attending CBI both training and examination and certification does not add any advantafe to the applicant.
Adequate training records can be one of the following:
1. An approved training program from the public health and safety department of the Dubai Municipality;
2. An approved training program from the funfair area management where this shall be in accordance with the international standard and/or the accepted practices considering the topics that is required to be covered in each category;
3. An approved training program from CBI;
4. An approved training program from the manufacturer rides;
5. An approved training program from the internationally recognized in the same field.

Are there any documents I need to prepare for the examination to take place in our facility?
Please provide us the following documents for all the available attractions in your facility:
1. Manufacturer manual
2. SOP
3. Evacuation plan and procedure (rides and facility)
4. Safety certificates
Do I have to pass the written exam first before I can proceed for the practical exam?
No, it is not required. You can take the examination in whichever order depending on the examination schedule given. Regardless of the result for each exam, the marking will be sent after completion of both written and practical examination. Results for each examination is totally independent from each other (written exam's passing score is at least 75% and practical exam is a pass or fail only), but both has to be passed with successful decision-making in order to receive a competency certificate.
Do I need to do a retake of all the examination if I fail one?
No. You only need to retake whichever examination has a failed result. For example, you have passed the written examination but failed in the practical; in this case, you will only have to redo the practical examination.
I failed the written examination. Can I do a retake?
If candidate did not pass the written examination, they can retake only one other written examination within 30 days after the results were communicated. In this case, it will be a charge of 150 AED for the second written examination. The application will be considered closed as failed if:
(a) the 30-day period for the retake has lapsed and candidate was not able to complete the examination;
(b) the candidate is not successful during the second attempt
Should the failed candidate would still want to pursue the certification, candidate will undergo a completely new process from the beginning (starting from the application) and subject to fees.
I failed the practical examination. Can I do a retake?
If candidate did not pass the practical examination, they can retake only one other practical examination within 30 days after the results were communicated. In this case, it will be a charge of 300 AED for the second practical examination. The application will be considered closed as failed if:
(a) the 30-day period for the retake has lapsed and candidate was not able to complete the examination;
(b) the candidate is not successful during the second attempt
Should the failed candidate would still want to pursue the certification, candidate will undergo a completely new process from the beginning (starting from the application) and subject to fees.
I want a printed copy of my certificate and ID card.
Sorry, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, printed copies of the certificates and ID cards will not be made available. Digital copies will be produced and sent to the clients instead.
The certificate I received has an error.
Please send us an email immediately so we can update our records and tell us which information should be rectified. Attach the competency certificate that needs correction and include the ID of the personnel. We will send the updated certificate via email.
How do I renew my certificate?
Please renew your certificate at least 30 days before the expiration date. The application, examination, and decision-making process must be completed within this period.
