AGREEMENTS

Applicant statement of understanding

  1. Applicant must successfully meet the   prerequisites requirement for each category prior attending any conformity   assessment activity (examination and certification). Those prerequisites need   to be submitted as part of your application process. Training records shall   not be older than two months. Training records shall conform to, but not   limited to, the international standard, local requirements, manufacturer   recommendations, facility and ride specific SOP and best practices.
  2. CBI do not provide any consultation on   the training record generation or keeping, scope of work is only reviewing   the record and its compliance with the above point. In the event of   non-compliance, the individual application will be closed as not accepted to   go through the examination/certification process, no refund will be processed   in any case and new application with application review payment is required   to restart the process. Trainers qualification (resume, educational   qualifications, facility authorization and track record in conducting   training) must be submitted to CBI for validation. Trainers qualification and   experience cannot fall short than the pre-requisite in each category, else   this will result on rejecting all training provided by the trainer and   eliminating him/not accepting him in any pool of trainers due to misuse of   the requirements
  3. I understand and agree that this work   flow in part or in full remains the property of CBI and will only remain with   them and I shall not request any copy either in part or in full.
  4. Applicant must be on time, if required,   as scheduled for the prerequisite assessment.
  5. Applicant must wear appropriate   clothing for any written or practical examination.
  6. Application is only valid for 60 days   where the applicant/candidate shall pass both written and practical   examination else the application will be closed, and new application   submission is required.
  7. I am aware that I would arrange my own   transportation to the training/examination location at my own cost.
  8. I confirm to the best of my knowledge   that the given information and data are correct and valid.
  9. I confirm to the best of my knowledge   that the provided documents are a copy of the original document and correct.
  10. I confirm that I will use   my user name and password to log in the system at least once annually to   avoid deactivation. In case of deactivation I will be liable for this action.
  11. By signing to this form, I   confirm about my physical ability, correct vision and ability to   differentiate between colors and hearing abilities as well as my well   communication in English Language orally and in writing. 
  12. Incase no show after   setting the date of both written and practical examination, the application   hence will be considered closed and you would need to reapply and pay all   associated fees and complete all other formalities.
  13. I indemnify CBI and all   associated partners against any and all claims resulting from the examination   or certification process as well as any stages during or after the   certification.
  14. I hereby agree that if I   provided any untrue, false or misleading information, I will be disqualified,   and my application will be rejected, my certificate will become void and   further I will be liable for all the consequences resulting in my actions.
  15. I hereby agree and confirm   that I will be subjected to a mystery shopper surveillance during my service   in my facility and if the result is negative all my certificate will be put   on hold or inactive or cancelled without notice. The surveillance and mystery   shopper may be from the government or from any assigned individual by CBI.   The facility and the related government office may be notified without any   prior approval or any consent from the applicant/candidate or the certified   person or his facility. 
  16. I confirm my understanding   and agree that any issued certificates or ID cards are only in digital   formats through my account and incase I require printed version I will pay   the related fees. I also confirm that any change request after issuance of   the certificate will be charged 125 AED (+ VAT), subject to CBI approval.
  17. I confirm that I had access   to, read and understood all manufacturer documents including but not limited   to the manufacturer operation and use manual as well as other instructions   deemed necessary by the international standards/code of practices and the   standard operating procedure for both the ride and the facility.
  18. I confirm that I have fully   completed the required training from my facility and I am fully authorized to   work independently and unsupervised prior attending any examination or   certification process.
  19. I confirm, understand & agree that   booking the training is optional & completing CBI training does not   guarantee any success or passing the examination.
  20. I am solely liable for any consequences   resulting from not following the local government regulation and guidelines, CBI   codes and agreements, international standard and code of practices,   manufacturers recommendation, ride specific SOP and facility SOP. 
  21. I understand and agree that CBI will   not return back any of the paid fees partially and fully in case I did not   meet the pre-requisite, or I did not pass the examination, or I did not meet   the certification requirements.
  22. I understand and agree that if I did   not pass either written examination or practical examination my application   will be considered closed as failed and I will need to reapply again and will   bear all the related expenses.
  23. I understand, confirm and   agree that the result of successfully attending the training will be in a   form of a training record, in accordance with the local regulation where the   training is taking place, that will be for CBI internal use only in addition   to the government viewing and will not request such a record and I do   understand that this training record will not be shared with me or my   employer or facility under any circumstances for confidentiality and   anti-fraudulent practices reasons. CBI accepts training records that fulfill   the related scheme criteria in addition to the terms and conditions in this   application.
  24. All terms and conditions   along with the agreements stipulated here are mandatories and remain in   effect at all times and is not affected by the expiry date of any quotation   or application or certificate.

Declaration (including non-disclosure agreement)

As applicant, candidate or certified person:

  1. I confirm to the best of my knowledge that   the given information and data are correct and valid;
  2. I confirm to the best of my knowledge that   the provided document is a copy of the original document and correct;
  3. I confirm to the best of my knowledge that   the given data of my physical ability and medical condition is correct and   accurate;
  4. I understand and agree to adhere to CBI,   Accreditation Center and the Local Authority regulations, requirements and   guidelines in addition to the manufacturer recommendation as well as the   Specific ride and facility SOP;
  5. I understand and agree to adhere to CBI   substance abuse policy, disciplinary policy, code of ethics, youth leader’s   commitment and code of practice as below.
  6. I confirm that I will respect and comply   with CBI, Accreditation Center, all affiliation and international   organizations (Example: IAAPA) use of logo, procedure and any related scheme   requirements.
  7. I confirm that I will keep all CBI   examination materials and process confidential and I shall not attempt to   copy, scan or try to have copies from any related examination materials for   any type of usage. Additionally, I shall not participate in any fraudulent   test-taking practices;
  8. To comply with the relevant provisions of   the certification scheme.
  9. To make claims regarding certification only   with respect to the scope for which certification has been granted;
  10. I shall inform CBI immediately, without   delay, of any matters that can affect my capability as certified person to   continue to fulfill the certification requirements;
  11. Not to use the certification in such a   manner as to bring the certification body into disrepute, and not to make any   statement regarding the certification which the certification body, local   authority or accreditation center considers misleading or unauthorized; 
  12. 12. To discontinue the use of all claims to   certification that contain any reference to CBI or certification upon   suspension or withdrawal of certification, and to return any certificates   issued by the CBI;
  13. Not to use the certificate in a misleading   manner.
  14. I declare that I have not been offered any   consultancy guidance, supervision or other services by the Examiner or   Decision Maker.

Candidate agreement

A. Confidentiality  Agreement 

It is understood and agreed that the all information related to my   application and further process with CBI is and must be kept confidential. To   ensure the protection of such information, and to preserve any   confidentiality necessary under patent and/or trade secret laws, it is agreed that

          1. The Confidential Information not to be disclosed can be described   as and includes:

                    I. Examination Paper, Questions and Discussion

                    II. Examination instruction and any other information related to examination

                    III. Any supporting material to aid the preparation for the examination

                    IV. Any other materials or media related to the examination

          2. The Recipient agrees not to disclose the confidential information   obtained from the discloser to anyone unless required to do so by law.

          3. This Agreement states the entire agreement between the parties   concerning the disclosure of Confidential Information. Any addition or   modification to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by the   parties.

          4. If any of the provisions of this Agreement are found to be   unenforceable, the remainder shall be enforced as fully as possible and the   unenforceable provision(s) shall be deemed modified to the limited extent   required to permit enforcement of the Agreement as a whole.

WHEREFORE, the parties acknowledge that they have read and understand   this Agreement and voluntarily accept the duties and obligations set forth   herein.


B. Rights  and obligations of the applicant/candidate/certified person

  1. The   candidate shall be available for examination and any changes to be notified   prior to one week of examination. 
  2. Shall   agree with his/her facility to arrange the practical examination location and   any logistics or equipment needed at their own cost and zero cost on CBI.
  3. Shall   make all arrangement possible for the access of the appointed trainers,   examiner, invigilator and other CBI permanent and freelance staff and related   government officials for the purpose of the examination, surveillance…etc.
  4. Once   the certificate has been issued, the candidate shall immediately inform the   certification body in writing of any important changes which may change the   certification condition. E.g. health condition, loss of card. 
  5. Candidate   can make complaint and or appeal in event of un-satisfactory services   provided through email or phone calls. 
  6. Candidate   must send back the certificate and other material in case of suspension,   withdrawal and scope reduction of certificate. 
  7. Candidate   should only use certificate and customer identity card for the purpose as   intended. 
  8. In the event of suspension of certification, I shall refrain from further   promotion of the certification while it is suspended.
  9. In the event of suspension, I shall refrain from use of all references to a   certified status.
  10. Applicant agrees to comply with the certification requirements and to supply any information needed for the assessment.
  11. As certified  person, in the event of an accident or incident, I notify CBI within 48   hours, incase no notification the entire certificate will be suspended till  further notice.
  12. I shall declare any potential conflict of   interest that includes any relationship with any kinds of the Examiner or the   Decision Maker prior conducting the examination to allow CBI enough time to   log the conflict of interest and assign a new team or otherwise as per CBI   accepted procedure under the accreditation.


C. Rights and obligations of the certification body

          i. CBI   shall treat confidentially all information made available to it concerning   the applicants, candidate and certified persons and to use this information   solely for the agreed purpose except when it is required by law or authorized   by a contractual agreement with exception to the information that the   individual makes publicly available. 

          ii. Detailed   reporting to the appeal committee in cases of dispute shall be excluded from   the above. The applicant, candidate and/or certified person releases CBI from   its obligation to professional secrecy for any reasons.

          iii. CBI   shall perform the certification based on the respective procedure and the   regulations/standards and shall issue a certificate only if the result is   positive.

          iv. CBI   shall inform the certificate holder of changes to the certification procedure   that affect him directly.

          v. CBI   shall keep a directory of certified individuals with details of the scope.   The details related to a certified person will be available upon request.

          vi. CBI will   record in writing complaints concerning the certification procedure. If no   agreement is reached between the customer and the certification body, the   certification body shall inform the appeal committee (accreditation body).   The customer has the right to refer directly to the accreditation body in the   event of complaints concerning the certification body.

         vii. Records   and certificate issues or generated remains under sole ownership of CBI and   cannot be validated, revalidated, renewed, suspended, withdrawn, activated or   any issues to do with those documents except by and through CBI only.


D. Cessation  of the right of use

          1. The   right of the customer to use the certificate shall cease with immediate   effect, without requiring notice of termination, if the customer does not   immediately indicate to the certification body changes to the circumstances   of him/her

                    a) that are   decisive for the certification or any signs of such changes.

                    b) or the   test mark and/or certificate is used in a manner in contravention of item 2.

                    c) or the   results of the re-certification no longer justify maintaining the   certificate.

          2. Disputes   arise concerning the test mark in competition law or intellectual property   rights.

          3. Furthermore,   CBI and the candidate shall have the right to terminate the contractual   relationship with immediate effect if the customer is legally prohibited from   using the certificate. 

          4. Misuse   the logo or other details where it was not permitted, or authentic purchase   were not carried out will incur a withdrawal of the certification, in this   case both the employer and the government authorities will be informed   without prior notice to the individual or his facility/employer. The   individual, employer/facility will be subject to legal action and will be   liable to all the fees and cost involved in addition to time lost   compensation and other damages.


CBI have the right, if the reasons listed occur, to withdraw the   certificate or declare it invalid and in the event of involvement of the   certified person in an incident or misconduct or deviations from the substance   abuse policy, disciplinary policy, code of ethics, youth leader’s commitment   or the code of practice and incase of other breaches to any part of the   application or its agreement without prior notifying the person, local   authority and employer of the certified person/candidate or applicant may be   notified without any consent from the certified person/candidate or applicant.

General Examination Information

  1. CBI professional coaching, if optionally booked, require strenuous mental and physical activity. Please be certain that you are capable of this type of   activity before registering. This coaching is not linked or tied to the   examination process except through the record developed and this process does   not guarantee any passing of the examination nor it provide any privilege   over any other accepted training or coaching attended.
  2. CBI   professional examination require strenuous mental and physical activity.   Please be certain that you are capable of this type of activity before   booking the examination.
  3. CBI   allows the use of CBI mark for certified person only through the online   purchase of its different promotional products. CBI do not allow the use of   its mark in any marketing materials or email signatures or any medium unless   agreed and permitted in writing from the CEO of CBI. Products or additional   promotional materials are subject to availability and could be delayed in   delivery due to the request and demand without prior notice. CBI remains   accountable for the requested promotional items or a value of its cost.
  4. CBI   Examination activities are separated from any training activities and will   require physical fitness of each applicant.
  5. By filling the application, you are confirming that you are free from any   medical conditions and any types of diseases that can negatively affect or   jeopardize your ability to perform tasks during the examination process or   hinder your safety and the safety of others.
  6.  If   the candidate has asthma or any other medical condition that may be induced   with physical activity be sure to let us know under the notes section of this   form. Include any information on symptoms and medications and how to   administer if needed.
  7. We   do not routinely schedule make up examination. In all of our examination, all   scheduled sessions must be attended. If any part is missed, you must enroll   in another examination. a fee may be required to re-take or reschedule an   exam (depending upon the situation). For Instructor examination the full fees   may be required. Any make ups are at the discretion of CBI examiners or   instructor examiners.
  8. Any   down time during the examination will result in holding the examination and   rescheduling another examination timing or shifting the examination to   another ride/device or attraction.
  9. Booked   optional orientations and coaching dates and times are subject to change at   any time.
  10. CBI cost is minimized to the lowest possible level; hence all processed payment   falls under no refund policy. Applicant, hence, shall ensure the eligibility   for each service prior applying.
  11. By filing in this application, you confirm that you or your facility will   arrange for the practical hands on evaluation at your own cost.
  12. Applicant/Candidate   will take a 30-45-minute lunch break on all full day activity. Applicant have   the option of bringing their lunch or leaving the facility for lunch. 
  13. All   booked services are first come first serve, others will be placed on a   waiting list. 
  14. Applicant/Candidate   on the waiting list will be called if space becomes available.
  15. Applicant   is required to bring all their equipment necessary to go through the service.   The required equipment may be discussed during the interview, orientation or   opening meetings.
  16. Applicant/Candidate   confirms that he/she will inform in advance if special facility or   accommodation is required in case they are categorized as special   needs/people with determination.
  17. You can only apply for trainer or instructor trainer level once you have valid   student certification in the same category that you wish to progress or   continue your career on. Special tracks for accepting recognized trainers are   available in certain areas of training, contact CBI office for details.

Written Examination Instruction

  • In case candidate did not pass   the written examination from the first time, only one re-examination can be conducted within a period   not more than 30 days from the date of the examination result. In this case   the exam conducted shall be different than the one initially administered and   additional charge of 350 AED (+VAT) for the second written examination.
  • In-case the candidate is not successful during the second   attempt, the application will be considered closed as failed and new   application with registration fees of 300 AED (+VAT) is required prior any further   process.
  • Candidates must pass their written examination before   proceeding to practical examination.
  • Candidates are not permitted to   copy, record or take the examination paper out of the examination hall/room.
  • Candidate must wear appropriate   clothing/attire for the examination as instructed during the examination.
  • No consumption of food, drinks   or any drugs except a bottle of water is permitted during the examination. 
  • Candidate should read and follow   the Health & Safety regulations posted on the examination site by the   facility owner. 
  • Any candidate suffering from   illness or feeling unwell after reporting for the examination, should inform   the examiner to avoid any mis-hap. 
  • Should a candidate want to   leave the site for a short while he/she should first take permission from the   examiner. 
  • Candidate are not allowed to   discuss, mention or communicate in any form the contents of the examination   paper to any person inside or outside of the examination hall/room.
  • Candidates who have difficulty   in reading or understanding the questions may inform the invigilator and   request for assistance in interpretation.
  • Candidates are required to   remain silent while the examination is in progress. Should you require any   assistance please raise your hand and wait for the invigilator to come to   you.
  • Should the candidate require to   change an answer, he /she needs use the system effectively for reviewing the   answered question prior submitting the answers.
  • No mobile phones or any   electronic devices are permitted in the examination venue/location.
  • Read the question paper   carefully along with the instruction given before attempting to answer the   questions.
  • Please answer each question   appropriately (example: tick the appropriate box (tick  inside one box only)   
  • All questions carry equal marks
  • Candidates are required to   demonstrate the effective reading and understanding of their duties.
  • Question types may include one   or more of the followings:

  1. Single   correct in Multiple Choice - Select only one answer from the given   options. 
  2. Multiple   correct in Multiple Choice - Select one or more correct answers from the given   options. 
  3. Fill in the blanks - Type the answer in the given blanks. 
  4. Descriptive Answers - Type the answer in the text area provided. 
  5. Drag   and Drop - Drag the correct item from the list of items given and place them   in the given placeholder. 
  6. Match the answer - Select the correct choice that matches the given criterion. 
  7. Single Text answer - Type the answer in the text field provided. 
  8. Select the best option - Select the correct item from the list of items given in   combo box. 

  • Question paper is at least 150 questions
  • Written question paper is balanced for the category of examination that covers, basic operation,   emergency, rides specific procedure, weather limitation, evacuation   procedure, customer services, handling customers with determination.
  • The written examination is  individual performance and not a team work.
  • Question papers, answer sheets   and marking with total score are maintained for a period no more than the   validity of the certification for traceability purposes.
  • Passing score is 75%.
  • Certification result do not take more than 7 working days from the date of the examination whilst the issued certificates shall not take more than 5 working days from the date of   result.

  • After positive certification decision, CB shall issue a certificate for the successful candidate with   validity as indicated below related to each category.
  • Both written and practical examinations are required to be passed prior any decision-making process.

Practical Examination Instruction

  • Practical examination has pass and fail criteria where candidates are required to demonstrate their full ability in all area without jeopardizing safety.
  • Candidates are not permitted to copy, record or take the examination paper or data out of the examination venue.
  • The candidate may be required to demonstrate and to explain verbally his/her understanding of the specific skill. 
  • Candidate must wear appropriate clothing/attire for the examination as instructed during the examination.
  • No consumption of food, drinks or any drugs except a bottle of water is permitted during the examination. 
  • Candidate should read and follow the Health & Safety regulations posted on the examination site by the facility owner. 
  • Any candidate suffering from illness or feeling unwell after reporting for the examination, should inform the examiner to avoid any mis-hap. 
  • Should a candidate want to leave the site for a short while he/she should first take permission from the examiner.
  • Candidate are not allowed to discuss, mention or communicate in any form the contents of the examination paper to any person inside or outside of the examination location.
  • Candidates who have difficulty in reading or understanding the tasks may inform the invigilator and request for assistance in interpretation.
  • Candidates are required to remain silent while the examination is in progress. Should you require any assistance please raise your hand and wait for the invigilator to come to you.
  • No mobile phones or any electronic devices are permitted in the examination venue/location.
  • Candidates are required to demonstrate the effective reading and understanding of their duties;
  • Candidates are required to demonstrate their duties and responsibilities during the practical examination;
  • Practical examination may be grouped depending on the types of rides/devices. For example, rides less than 3G acceleration with no complex movement and rides with acceleration more than 3G with complex movement.
  • The practical examination is developed to cover the range of rides/devices in case no limitation on the certificate issued. For example, the candidate will be examined on three different rides (complex with acceleration more than 3G, non-complex with acceleration less than 3G and one kiddie or family ride) in order to grant full range of operation certification without limitation.
  • Duties examined will include:

  1. Pre-opening and closing procedure;
  2. Understanding their respective duties in-case of emergency and evacuation;
  3. Normal control of the ride as well as the control in-case of emergency;

  • Read your assigned task carefully.
  • Assigned tasks will be switched within the same rules in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the team work.
  • If you attempt to perform task that is assigned to your associates or assist them out of your assigned tasks, you will be marked as failed.
  • Tasks may carry different marks or weighted evaluation.
  • Assigned tasks may include one or more of the followings:

  1. Normal operating procedure; 
  2. Emergency situations; and 
  3. Evacuation drills.

  • Assigned practical tasks, answer records and marking with total score are maintained for a period no more than the validity of the certification for traceability purposes.
  • For practical examination the record will include the details of actions/moves performed by the candidate with detailed information of all right and wrong actions/moves and marking with total score.
  • Candidates who did not pass their examination are not permitted to use any of their application or related information including training record in any other certification body.
  • Candidates must pass both the written and practical examination before proceeding to decision-making process.
  • Unsafe Act:
    1. Is defined as any action that in the judgement of the examiner could endanger personnel or equipment at the examination site.
    2. The unsafe act may include:
      • The incorrect performance or        unclear signals during the normal operation.
      • Emergency situations or        evacuation plans.
      • Uncontrolled or reckless        operation with or without guest.
      • Failure to ensure the position        of the ride during normal operation, emergency or evacuation is as        described in the manufacturer manual.
      • Failure to balance the guest as        per the manufacturer instruction while loading or as per the accepted        industry practice.
      • Inappropriate behavior with        associates or guest.
      • Significant delay in the        extraction of guest from entrapment due to emergency situation assigned        or actually happened during the examination.
    3. If at any time prior       examination, during examination or post examination a candidate commits  an unsafe act, the examiner will immediately disqualify the candidate and the candidate will not continue the test and will be marked as failed. In       this case all paid amount will not be refunded and the candidate will not       be permitted to undergo any further examination for minimum 60 days or       until otherwise instructed by the local authority. 

  • The practical examination may be a team with assigned tasks depending on the category for each candidate.
  • Result will be released within maximum 5 working days.

  • After positive certification decision, CB shall issue a certificate for the successful candidate with validity as indicated below related to each category.

Substance abuse policy

  1. As a professional working in the field of fairground I will adhere to the substance abuse policy set by CBI and shall not use prescribed or over-the counter substances that would impair my ability to perform the assigned duties safely. This includes illegal drugs, controlled substances (including trace amounts), look-alike drugs, designer drugs, or any other substance that may have an effect on the human body of being a narcotic, depressant, stimulant, or hallucinogen.
  2. An exception to this rule is that I may use such a substance or drug only if a licensed medical practitioner who is familiar with my medical history and all assigned duties, and who has advised on the prescribed substance prescribes it will not adversely affect his ability to carry on my duties safely. 

Disciplinary policy

I understand that if I violated the rules set by CBI, Regulatory Authority or Accreditation Center, it will be a ground for revocation of certification status which shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Period of certification exceeded without renewal; Note: you are fully responsible to request renewal of the license/certification before the expiry date. CBI will not be held responsible for any claims related to the lapse of the individual certificates.
  2. Evidence of falsification of any information on any documents submitted to certifying authority or its agents
  3. Evidence of non-compliance with Substance Abuse Policy
  4. Evidence of culpability in an accidents, incidents or misconduct during certification period
  5. Evidence of non-compliance with any local medical requirements
  6. 6Evidence of non-compliance with the Code of Ethics


CBI complaints procedures have been designed to ensure that only valid and actionable complaints are investigated, considered and subsequently resolved. These procedures also ensure that all parties involved in the complaint have an opportunity to document circumstances warranting the complaint and to respond to the complaint. The process of complaints and appeal can be triggered through the CBI website under customer feedback, complaint and appeal.


Complaint against CBI can only be investigated by the accreditation body.

Code of ethics

Certified funfair area, amusement equipment and machinery personnel from any category must comply with this Code of Ethics during their certification, as set forth   below:


As a certified individual, I will perform my duties in a manner:

  1. Free of bias with regard to religion, ethnicity, gender, age, national origin, and disability.
  2. Place the safety and welfare of public, workers associated with facility operation above all other considerations.
  3. Protect nearby general public property and the environment.
  4. Make my management aware if I have safety concerns relating to the attraction or the   funfair area operations and the duties that I am performing or if I have witnessed any violation that might affect the safety of other associates,   guest or spectators.
  5. Not   violating safety-related regulations, warnings, or instructions set forth by CBI, the facility, Local Government, Accreditation Center, manufacturer requirements/recommendations, or any recognized safety standards.
  6. Not misrepresenting or deceiving others concerning my experience or the capabilities of myself or the area I am working in.
  7. Not misrepresent or misuse my certification card or the organization logo, both of which are the property of the certifying authority and I understand that I must return the card to the issuing authority immediately if required to do   so without questioning the reason.
  8. The issued certificates and cards are my sole responsibility to keep and maintain and I will present it to the authorities whenever they ask for it immediately.
  9. Not performing additional duties that could conflict or contradict with the originally assigned duties.
  10. I will not get engaged in any practice that can affect the judgement on applying my   duties such as but not limited to the use of the mobile phone during   performing my duties, keeping it with me or in the operator booth unless I am   authorized to do so by the facility management, not misuse the system or   access cards or customer paid card….etc.
  11. I will not handle any cash payments unless I am authorized to do so.
  12. I will return to the designated person any lost and found items including cards.

Code of practice

As a Professional, you enjoy a rewarding role. You have the chance to add smile on   the people’s faces and ensure the memorable experience remain with the   children’s and their families for long period of time. With this ability   comes a very important obligation to your guests, clients and all those who   come to you to be taught or led throughout their development. You are   responsible for the safety of others and as a CBI certified professional, you   agree on the following:


  1. Put the safety of guests, clients and your   associates as your priority and responsibility. In doing so, abide by the   requirements, facility training instruction, best practices and other updates   while applying your best judgment during the performance of your duties.
  2. Perform a personal readiness self-assessment   before starting your duties. This includes evaluating your physical health   and fitness for your rule in the organization as well as your ability to   supervise and respond to emergencies on time.
  3. When teaching and supervising your associates   and team members, repetition is important for mastery and long-term   information retention. Help those you train and supervise by guiding them   through this learning process.
  4. Be watchful for signs of patrons’ stress and   anxiety, and act quickly and appropriately when you see them.
  5. Employ effective group control measures,   particularly when supervising children.
  6. Conduct yourself and all your related in a   professional manner.
  7. Represent yourself as a CBI Trainer only when you are authorized. Only teach   courses that you are authorized to teach after receiving notification from   your CBI Office.
  8. Treat guests, parents and all those involved in funfair activities with   respect, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, religious affiliation, disability   or sexual orientation.
  9. Not disparage the CBI organization, CBI certified person or any other   industry professionals.
  10. Exhibit common honesty in your related activities.
  11. Cooperate during CBI and Authorities investigations by responding fully and   promptly to inquiries.
  12. Follow a strict code of conduct and abide by the requirements and intent of   the CBI and the Youth Leader’s Commitment whenever teaching or supervising   children.
  13. Follow a professional code of practice towards protecting the environment by   using only recycled or multi time usable materials. 
  14. Accept that a criminal conviction involving abuse of a minor either during or   prior to CBI certification is grounds for denial or termination of the   certification and any associated membership.
  15. Accept that any fraudulent or unethical practices prior, during, or after my   certification period will be ground for denial or rejection of application or   profile or withdrawal of any issued certificates or deactivation of any   accounts without prior notices. In this event, the local authority, facility   and international organizations will be notified without any consent from any   person or entity.


If you breach the Code of Practice, your certification and any associated membership are at risk.

Youth's leaders commitment

As  a certified individual, I will perform the below as part of my duties:

  1. Look after the child’s health, safety and welfare.
  2. Ensure appropriate supervision during all activities.
  3. Whenever possible, meet the child’s parents or guardians and share program goals and objectives.
  4. Strive to keep parents or guardians involved and informed through verbal reports and updates as often as   possible.
  5. Treat children, parents or guardians with respect regardless of age, race, gender and religious affiliation.
  6. Deliver commitment to children only within the scope and capacity of my work and honor commitments made to children.
  7. Discuss disciplinary problems with parents or guardians.
  8. Do not engage in inappropriate contact with children.
  9. Respect a child’s rights to privacy and intrude only when health and safety demands.
  10. Whenever possible, ensure at least one adult are with children.

CBI Quality & Standardization Certificates Issuing Services L.L.C and its subsidiaries (collectively "CBI")   are committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with a positive   experience on our websites and in using our products and services.

Photos or videos will be taken only by authorized CBI staff for   evidence and promotional purpose. For promotional and publicity purpose those   form of media taken does not require any consent or approval prior publishing   in CBI media channels, website, etc.

We collect personal information for a variety of   reasons, such as:

  • Creating an account or profile.
  • Processing your application, including payment   transactions.
  • Providing you with a newsletter subscription.
  • Sending marketing communications.
  • Enabling the use of certain features of our   online application.
  • Personalizing your experience.
  • Providing customer service.
  • Managing a job application.
  • Collecting information during the admissions   process when a computer-based certification test is administered to you.

We need your help in keeping your personal   information accurate and up to date. We provide a number of options to   access, correct or suppress your personal information:

  • You can view or edit your app.cbi-emea.com   personal information and preferences online by using the CBI Profile   Management Tool.
  • Some CBI entities may act as or be considered "data controllers". When a CBI entity is acting as a data   controller, you can exercise your rights of access and request corrections,   suppression, or deactivations under applicable data protection laws directly   with that CBI entity as described in the specific Solution documentation.
  • If you need additional assistance, or help with   accessing, correcting, suppressing, or deleting your personal information,   please feel free to contact us directly. We make good faith efforts to honor   reasonable requests to access, delete, update, suppress, or correct your   data. We will respond to your request within 30 days. If we are unable to   honor your request, we will provide you with an explanation.


Your Choices and Selecting Your Communication   Preferences

We give you the choice of receiving a variety of   information related to our Services. You can manage your communication preferences   through the following methods:

  • By following the instructions included in   each promotional email from us to unsubscribe from that particular mailing.
  • By sending us a message by mail to: cbi.emea@outlook.com.   Please be sure to include your name, email address, and specific, relevant   information about the material you no longer wish to receive.
  • For short message services ("SMS   Services"), by replying "STOP", "END", or   "QUIT" to the SMS text message you have received.

For example, if we learn of a security system's breach,   we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on our   websites, by sending an email, or otherwise contacting you.

We may share your personal information with third   parties for the purposes of operating our business, delivering, improving,   and customizing our Solutions, sending marketing and other communications   related to our business, and for other legitimate purposes permitted by   applicable law or otherwise with your consent.

We intend to protect the personal information   entrusted to us and treat it securely in accordance with this Privacy   Statement. CBI implements physical, administrative, and technical safeguards   designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use,   or disclosure. We also contractually require that our suppliers protect such   information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. The Internet,   however, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or   warrant the security of any personal information you provide to us.


Retention of Personal Information

We will retain your personal information as   needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. We will retain and   use your personal information as necessary to comply with our business   requirements, legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect our assets, and   enforce our agreements.


Use of Cookies and other Web Technologies

Like many Online Apps, CBI uses automatic data collection tools, such as cookies, embedded web links, and web beacons. These   tools collect certain standard information that your browser sends to our   website. Examples include your browser type and the address of the website   from which you arrived at our website.

They may also collect information about:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address. This is a number automatically assigned to your computer or device whenever you connect   to the Internet. It is a unique address assigned by your Internet service provider or IT department on a TCP/IP network. Among other things, the IP address allows web servers to locate and identify your device.
  • Clickstream behavior. This includes, for example,   the pages you view and the links you click. These tools help make your visit   to our website easier, more efficient, and more valuable by providing you with a customized experience and recognizing you when you return. Our website includes widgets. Widgets are   interactive mini-programs that run on our site to provide specific services   from other companies. Examples include displays of news, opinions, videos,   and more. Personal information, such as your email address, may be collected   through widgets. Widgets may also set cookies to enable them to function   properly. Information collected by a widget is governed by the privacy policy   of the company that created the widget.

No industry standard currently exists on how   companies should respond to "do not track" signals, although one   may develop in the future. CBI Online-App do not currently recognize and   respond to "do not track" signals. If we do in the future, we will   describe how in this Privacy Statement.

We partner with third parties to display   advertising on our website or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our   third-party partners may use cookies or similar technologies in order to   provide you with advertising based on your browsing activities and interests.   You may opt out of this advertising.

Also, please   recognize that individual forums and chat rooms may have additional rules and   conditions. CBI is not responsible for the personal information or any other   information you choose to submit in these forums. To request removal of your   personal information from our blog or community forum, contact us at cbi.emea@outlook.com.   In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in   which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.


Children's Privacy:

CBI encourages parents and guardians to take an   active role in their children's online education activities. CBI does not   knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate   parental or guardian consent.
